About Us
Move Fast Lift Heavy (MFLH) is more than a brand—it’s a mentality, a movement, and a commitment to being better every day. Rooted in strength, endurance, and relentless pursuit, MFLH represents those who refuse to settle, who embrace the grind, and who push past limits in pursuit of their goals. Whether through performance-driven apparel, elite training programs, or community-driven events, MFLH is about moving with purpose and lifting yourself and others higher.
The Story Behind MFLH
MFLH was born out of struggle. In 2012, Christian Harris signed up for his first CrossFit Open and went on to qualify for Regionals. Facing the financial burden of competition, he designed a t-shirt with the first iteration of the Move Fast Lift Heavy logo to help offset travel costs. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into something bigger—people loved the design, and demand for the brand grew. MFLH was born.
As the brand gained momentum, its next evolution took shape in 2014 with the opening of the MFLH Original Gym (formerly Freedom) on Long Island, New York. The gym became a training hub for elite athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts alike, fostering a thriving community and producing multiple CrossFit Games teams year after year.
Later that year, in late 2014, MFLH hosted the first of many MFLH Invitationals—a one-of-a-kind fitness event designed to showcase performance and create an immersive spectator experience. This event blends strength and artistry, featuring everything from weightlifting max-outs to Cirque du Soleil-style performances and breakdancing showcases. Each year, the Invitational grows in scale and anticipation, cementing itself as one of the most exciting and unique fitness events in the community.
In 2020, as the world adapted to new challenges, MFLH expanded into online training programs. Christian launched MFLH Compete (formerly Train with CH), a flagship program designed to help athletes elevate their performance. Since then, the MFLH training platform has helped thousands of athletes worldwide, offering three specialized programs tailored to different training goals.
But MFLH’s evolution didn’t stop there. In fall 2023, Christian hosted the first-ever MFLH Run Club session with just five runners. What started as a small gathering quickly took off, and today, the OG run club averages 20+ participants weekly, with charters expanding across the country, including New York, New Jersey, California, Virginia, D.C., Illinois, Philadelphia, and Miami.
What began as a single t-shirt in 2012 has now grown into a global movement, encompassing apparel, a premier training facility, elite training programs, and a nationwide run club network. Yet, through every stage of its growth, our mission remains the same—to blend fitness, community, and mindset, creating a brand that empowers people to move, lift, and live with relentless energy.
