I was first introduced to MFLH through their run club. A friend and I randomly decided to join them for one of their Sunday runs at COHO in Patchogue. This was probably one of the best decisions I have made. We were both nervous going in, but that faded fast. Everyone we met that morning was so kind and welcoming. I liked that run was planned and organized, on time, but didn’t feel so cliquey and competitive like some other run clubs I have run with. I can safely say there was a pace group for everyone. Getting to talk to the other runners after the Sunday runs and hang for coffee is always fun. After many weeks you form bonds with these amazing humans that all have similar goals and outlooks as you…getting fit(ter), faster, stronger, healthier, and faster all while having fun. All of these factors kept us coming back, and we got FOMO if we had to miss a run club day due to other obligations. Although MFLH isn’t my home gym, we were always welcomed and invited to workout there or attend and sign up for any events they were holding there. The events were always well organized, timely, and for the benefit of the community. Deb and Christian are always so generous with giveaways, samples, tips but are also always open to new ideas, tips, and suggestions. They make you feel as if you are and active part of the group rather than just a member. Obviously had to pick up some MFLH gear to rock for our runs and workouts since they are so supportive and encouraging of their people. Every purchase I made was top notch quality clothing and comfy as heck. If I’m not at work, I basically live in MFLH gear. To sum it up, come run with us, join us for an event. You won’t be upset about it and you might even make some new friendships along the way.
